On Friday, September 14th, I had the privilege of conducting a phone interview with the legendary Henry Rollins. Needless to say I was nervous. And who can blame me?! Not only am I speaking to one of the founding members of Black Flag but a grammy winning spoken word artist! Along with an actor, author and television personality. But to no surprise he was level headed, kind and willing to share his wisdom.
Henry Rollins launched his “Capitalism” Tour on September 6th in Honolulu, Hawaii. The “Capitalism” tour is a 50 state, 51 city tour that will wrap up on election eve in Washington D.C.. “I will be performing across our fine nation, doing shows in the capital city of each state. We will be going all the way up to election eve,” says Henry. “It’s always a great time to be in America, but this will be the highpoint of this year’s tour. Shepard Fairey did a great poster for the tour to make it extra noteworthy. I can’t wait to start this one.”
And we can’t wait to experience it! Project SLC will be there when Henry performs at The State Room on Sunday, September 16, 2012. So stay tuned for the final article! (Along with a cleaner audio version of the interview)
